Richard Ashby Associates Ltd is a small architectural practice (RIBA chartered) based in rural East Hampshire, established in 1978 and working chiefly for private clients.
We specialise in high quality extensions, refurbishments and alterations to country houses, barn conversions, timber-framed constructions and individual new houses.
We offer a personal service looking after building projects from inception to completion. Garden design is an integral part of our service, relating the building to its immediate environment and the landscape beyond. Green issues and sustainability help form our thinking on design.
We have built up a good working relationship with local planning authorities, which enables us to achieve a 95% success rate in achieving approval for proposed works. Nearly a third of our projects are on listed buildings where we can provide a wealth of experience on traditional construction, local materials and vernacular design.
Our practice has a reputation for quality. The hallmark of our work is attention to detail. Our aim is to give our clients a creative, well-designed, workable and unique space in which to live and work. We have a lot of repeat work from existing clients.
